In these parts they didn’t even know what plagiarism was until we taught them about it. Their concept of cheating differs greatly from ours.
The way they see it is that an assignment asks a student to perform a task, and the student performs it, without any acknowledgment of intellectual property or ownership of original thought. They use it because it exists and to complete said task.
There aren’t THAT many plagiarizers, but enough for us to be weary.
are there really that many plagiarizers?
